SDFG has just been launched.  What’s an “sudfig”, you may contemplate.  Well, it is a cool new blog site concerned with compiling laughter from various places around the interweb. If you haven’t heard of this let me lay out the basic story for you. There have been some variations in this story, but this one is the most commonly known. Somewhere in the east of Canada there was a forest fire. You wouldn’t believe what they saw when they had finished sorting out the blaze, they spotted a charred Scuba Diver in amongst the trees. Now it gets interesting. It was at first completely baffling as to why a man in full scuba gear, wet suit and oxygen tanks was found in the middle of a forest fire in a tree. When it was established he didn’t die of burns but instead of internal injuries, enquiries were made.

It was important for everyone to gather as much information as possible to discover what happened. It was impossible to have guessed what they would find. Minding his own business, the scuba diver was diving off the coast of Canada, 20km away from the forest fire. What had happened is one of the helicopters that scoops water into their massive 10,000 gallons scoops had engulfed the unfortunate diver as well. He was then dumped onto the forest fire and got lodged in a tree.

This story has come up several times, yet nothing has ever come of it, surely the government would like to cover this up to avoid huge embarrassment and possibly massive spending fees to fix this scoop system?

The advancement of technology has astounded the world. When there are computers that used to be the size of a building, now they are the size of your palm. But nobody is better at creating new and unusual technology than the Japanese.

According to sources, the Japanese Railway company Keihin, has purchased a new piece of technology called a Smile Scanner! This piece of technology is supposed to help employees to smile correctly or to smile “better” at work.

According to reports, every morning the employees must go over to this smile scanner and smile as much as possible into a monitor. The amazing (yet somewhat scary machine) then tells you what is wrong with your smile. It works by scanning your face and analysing things like; lip curvature, eye movement and all your facial wrinkles. At the end of the analysis the machine then give you a rating out of 100, zero being the worst and 100 being a crazy smile (apparently the best).

The machine also gives the employee helpful advice. Not only this, but it points out advice on how you can improve your smile. For a final gesture, the machine also prints out a picture of you with an ideal smile on it. So that if you start to feel gloomy throughout the day it will uplift your spirits.

At some point in the future, airlines have spoken about how they will start to build this into planes, for flight attendants. So on your next Caribbean holidays or Canada holidays and you find one of these crazed smiles staring at you. At least you will know it’s not because they are deranged.

If anything the use of this computer will bring a smile to the staffs face, surely it must be quite amusing. After a while I suppose there is a chance it could get quite tedious.

Whether you decide to use dental tape or dental floss, using one or the other is importanl to your oral health. Flossing and using tape will help to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
